Merrily we roll along

Welcome to the inaugural blog post of the brand-spanking new Enclave website! I am honored and grateful to have been asked to contribute my missives to this space. I have no idea where this is going to go, but I invite you to buckle up and join me for the ride!

The high drama and gnashing of teeth that marked this Master HOA election season is over. For those who don’t know, the Master Board will have the exact same people holding the exact same positions as before. I offer my congratulations to all, and a hope that the healing to which everyone refers can now be front and center, both in this holiday season and as we march into 2024.

Speaking of board meetings, the Enclave BOD conducted an informative meeting this morning. The first order of business was killing a rumor that the Enclave was about to initiate an $850 special assessment. Like most rumors, this one took off and made rounds before the truth even got out of bed. Its fake news, misinformation, disinformation, and flat out false. All board members are easily accessible through a variety of avenues, and they welcome your questions. Feel free to contact any one of them for the real tea when you hear things of a dubious nature.

Another point of discussion this morning was about increasing resident involvement in the community, particularly among new residents. How do we do that? Is there some type of activity or event that residents want? The ROLL Committee is always looking for suggestions, and so is the Enclave. Lets hear them!

In the meantime, I’d like to suggest the Enclave Board coordinate with the office when welcome packets are sent out and host a monthly/quarterly orientation for new residents. I did this in the community we lived in prior to Lakeside, and it was very well-received. Food for thought.

Great job on the new website. As a suggestion, one of goals this board should have this year is to organize and plan for Enclave representation on master board. We need to come up with a game plan which may include going door to door (next year). If someone knocked on my door explaining how important it is to have our section of the community represented, well, they would most certainly get my vote. We can organize into smaller groups going door to door. There is power in numbers, which we have. Let's plan to unlock that power. Thank you to all of the board members. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help this board achieve it's goals. Thank you all!

Oops. Let me correct one of my sentences:

As a suggestion, one of THE goals this board should have this year is to organize and plan for Enclave representation on THE master board. I left out a couple of "the's" :).
